Coach Drew was introduced to the sport of boxing at a young age and began competing in 2011, at the age of 14. Drew developed superb footwork and elite technical skills over the span of many years under tutelage of some of boxings greatest: Cuba’s amateur legend Angel Espinosa, Cuban national coach Ramiro Basulto, & coach Reniel Aponte. Drew finished off his amateur career as one of the best in the country winning 3x state and 1x national championship. Coach Drew has over 15 years of boxing experience and his love for the sport is deeply rooted in him.
